Aloha-Zen is the name for a new approach of the teachings of the Enlightened, Gautama Buddha for the Western World melting with the spiritual roots of these countries which are laid back in natural spirit religions.

When Buddhist religion and philosophy met the West, it faced a culture deeply influenced by Christianity, which was stooped over the native faith of the people some 1,200 years ago in an attempt of survival of the decaying Roman Empire. Therefore, one has to notice, that this acquired religion is not the spiritual root. Moreover, this pacification of a religion has led to a somewhat desasterous situation: carefully introducing festivities and rites of the genuine faith have the new religious fathers succeeded in cutting the people off their roots erasing any spirit and knowledge of the old.

This is regarded as reason for the thought-centredness and hectic way of life of Europeans and later on Americans. Having no roots in the Earth, the mind can easily speed up. However, the rootlessness has been recognized by western seekers trying to re-legate to their roots in the “New Age” movements, assembling any kind of shamanic or esoteric knowledge to get back some roots to grow into the fertile Mother Earth.

With Aloha-Zen, this is now the attempt to introduce the new wave of outspreading Gautamas teaching as it always was done: melting with the genuine roots of Western people which are in shamanic traditions of natural spirit relgions, providing a new basis for the Navayana to set foot into the westernly dominated countries. Natural Spirituality is provided as well as Buddhist teachings, basing on the practice of the Dhyana vehicle, or Zen, as it is called in Japan.
